Fruits of the Willows (Part Two)

Avocados have been grown in California (Santa Barbara) since 1871. Hass avocados, the most popular variety, grow near villas 222 and 239.

Please note: Everyone may pick from every tree EXCEPT from those trees that have been planted or adopted by the resident nearest the trees.
Dreamy Midsummer Night

On Sunday, September 20th, the Willows bus will make its way south to hear musical selections performed by the Capistrano Valley Symphony. The theme of this event at the historic Mission San Juan Capistrano is Tunin’ In to TV Land, with a variety of music and entertainment from TV past and present.

Las Concordias Welcomes Steven Shore
Steven Shore will be the first speaker of the 2009-2010 Las Concordias year, on Tuesday, September 8. Steve is, simply put, an entrepreneur in the fields of music and entertainment as well as managing performers, occasionally akin to herding cats!

John Cain and Katie Catinella Headline Board Night Program
On Thursday, September 24, at 7 p.m. in Hodges Hall, Willows residents welcome John Cain and Katie Catinella from San Diego. John is the ultimate popular musician and Katie is a jazz singer with a classical background.

Hymn Sing Hostess, Marilyn Spencer

Healing work is going on when Marilyn Spencer puts together the monthly Hymn Sing here at the Willows! Last month we heard about Mrs. Eddy’s hymns, researched and prepared by Marilyn, and beautifully played on the piano by Judy Jones.
