The Laguna Community Concert Band is playing on April 19th, Sunday afternoon, at 3 pm. The theme of the concert is "Sketches of Laguna" which is also the title of a commissioned composition by James Christensen. Mr. Christensen has over 300 published works which have been heard all over the world, including such notable venues as the Boston Pops and at the Academy Awards (to name but a few!).

Willows' Residents Victims of Fraud
by Betty Everett

Be alert to telephone calls that begin "Hi Grandma!" Recent calls of this type have turned out to be frauds from people pretending to be relatives. If you are called, receive an email or letter purportedly from a relative, check it out! Do not call a telephone number that the caller has given you - it will be false if the caller is a fraud. Call another relative who might know the location of the calling relative. Be absolutely sure that you are not a victim of a fraud and in this way you will "hold crime in check".
