The Administrator's Column
September 2010
At last¸ we have been blessed with summer. The end of August, moving right into September gave us some warmer, sunny, great swimming weather. Hope you are enjoying the pool during this time. Resurfacing of the pool won’t begin until the end of October.
We’re all enjoying the new people moving in, putting in windows, moving furniture, adding patio covers, removing patio covers; we’ve done just about everything here. We’ve just added a three-bedroom guest house at #394, plus we had already created a two-bedroom two-bathroom guest house for some-one this summer. We continue to be as creative as we can be to meet the need. We now have several guests who spend three to four months here. Some come to avoid the desert heat, and some come to avoid the mid-west and eastern winters. For whatever reason, The Willows is a great place to be.
We expect the ice-cream social on August 28 to be a huge success, with everyone enjoying the many flavors of ice-cream and Randy Woltz at the piano. Watch for the write-up in the October newsletter.
We’re upgrading the computer in the study center which will allow us to install “The Ark” for extended study. We’re grateful to the Laguna Niguel branch church for this equipment.
The Willow’s pool table is now available in Villa #125. Feel free to take the cue and enjoy. Just don’t get behind the eight ball!
Fall is just around the corner, so enjoy the rest of the summer.Sandy Toner
