The Administrator's Column
September 2009
Can you believe August is here and gone? When I was 10, I thought school would never end for the summer and then before I knew it, it was time to begin again. Mortal mind never lets us be satisfied, does it? So let us enjoy the remnants of summer, which should carry us through September, and look forward with joy to the fall.
The streets have been sealed and we’re completing the curb painting. More tree trimming will commence this month, starting with the outer perimeter. Of course, many trees won’t need trimming this year, but the work will take care of those that do, and some beautifying where needed.
The ice-cream social is coming up this month. Saturday, September 26, 2 to 5 pm. We can all sit back and enjoy any or all of the 10 flavors of ice-cream along with some freshly popped popcorn. Hope to see you there.
Mark your calendar for the candlelight dinner on December 18. Two of your favorite entertainers will bring joy and music to the event. Christmas will be here before we know it.
The kitchen is still open to sharing your recipes. So keep them coming. We have had several and have had a good response to them. Always love those homemade goodies!
Enjoy the month and be good to yourself.Sandy Toner
