The Administrator's Column

July 2008

It's beginning to feel a lot like summer. Everywhere you look, more flowers, swimmers splashing in the pool, people sitting outside enjoying the sun, and air-conditioners just humming.

You are all probably ready to enjoy outings for the summer. Remember you can join us at The Willows for lunch, Sunday through Wednesday. Thursdays we enjoy an evening meal at 5:00 pm. Be sure to include a look at the gardens while you are strolling. The corn is as high as an elephant's eye and the tomatoes are just beginning to ripen. Bring your swim suit, browse the art gallery and boutique, and have a pleasant afternoon.

A reminder to those of you who do enjoy the pool: the shower is there with warm water for rinsing off before swimming.

You are all probably aware by now that we have a new bus driver. Mo called about employment within an hour of my asking you all to pray about needing a driver. Don't you just feel overjoyed when you see prayer answered so quickly? You have to love it! God is good.

A gentle reminder again not to stop the workers when they are en route somewhere. They are probably responding to a work order for someone. Just call the office and we'll get a work order for you and the fellows will get to your need as soon as possible. Also, try to remember that we take care of grounds and buildings. Your personal needs are for after hours. The patio enclosures are your responsibility. These fellows are so very accommodating and have a hard time refusing to do anything, so please be considerate of how they have to balance and utilize their time.

Guest houses are being rented for long-term through-out the summer, so if you have family or friends coming, try to get your reservations in soon. Enjoy the summer, the sunshine, and all the joys of Life as we now and understand it.
