May 2010

April showers bring May flowers! Are we seeing evidence of this everywhere? Aren’t the flowers, especially the roses, just spectacular?

We have just added #115 to our two-bedroom guesthouse list again. However, it has a whole new look. When you have a minute (and no one is visiting there) stop and have a peek. I think you’ll find it bright, cheery and welcoming. Encourage your friends to visit and enjoy all the amenities that The Willows offers. We are having people come for longer and longer visits. I trust you all know you can stay in a guesthouse up to a year. It is not too soon to begin planning a guesthouse visit for the summer.  We begin filling up in June. So, make your plans and reserve early.

There were several more roof leaks after the last rain. You have probably seen the roofing truck here. We continue to repair and replace roofs as needed. We love the rain but it brings extra work for everyone.

We all share loving support with Susan FitzRandolph’s family. Susan was a member of The Willows Foundation Board. She will be missed.

Dick and I continue to share Thursday evening dinner with the residents. We are enjoying this opportunity to get to know each of you better, and you all appear to enjoy getting to meet Dick and to know us better.
