The Administrator's Column
March 2009
What is new around the campus at The Willows?
Spring is coming. I can tell by the buds that are already appearing on the roses. In conjunction with all the blooming, we're planning a "House & Garden Tour" early in May. You won't want to miss it, so watch for details in the next newsletter.
We have a new group (company) trimming the trees. They will look more ornamental and professional. There is also an arboriculturist with their staff, so he will be able to keep a close watch on the trees that might need special attention. In addition, this company is much more economical in terms of expense for The Willows.
The water company has been here digging up the streets for repair to sewer lines. We are so grateful to have all this expertise available to us.
The pool continues to be heated, so we're happy to see some of you using it when the weather permits.
The monthly "matinee" seems to be going well. The average attendance is around 20 to 30 people. The popcorn seems to be a real treat for everyone. Bill and Dona Romaine host the event. On Saturday, March 21, the movie will be Mrs. Brown.
Remember to set your clocks forward on Saturday evening, March 7. You won't want to be late for any event on your calendar. As we spring forward, we'll continue to be grateful for the progress already shown and there-fore prepare our thought for all the good that is coming.
