The Administrator's Column

February 2010

It is as Happy a New Year as we choose to make it, isn’t it? Mrs. Eddy tells us that adversity strengthens us, and that we bring into our experience what we hold in our consciousness. So, that will keep us thinking in the right direction! At the Residents’ Quarterly Meeting the idea of praying for self, church, The Willows and the world was mentioned. That should be enough to keep us busy until at least 2099!

Trying to keep the pool warm during the heavy rains was not a good idea, so the heater was turned off for a few days. But it is back up and running. So, head for the pool and make all your eastern friends and family envious. We were so grateful to have had our trees pruned before the storms began.

The Willows Foundation Board meeting was well attended. Marjorie Dagnall gave an inspiring talk titled, “Gleaning Spiritual Harvest.” Our Board was able to report that we continued to “glean” financially in spite of the economical world situation. All those who attended enjoyed visiting and having cake and sparkling cider following the meeting.

We, at The Willows, are looking forward to another fruitful year in 2010, and we invite everyone our thought rests upon to have a great year, too.
