February 2009

Wasn't The Willows Annual Meeting delightful? Barry Walson's approach to his report, and given without notes, was unique. I'm sure he shared many things about each of the departments that were not known. It is always fun to learn more about each other.

The financial report was great. We are always glad to share the good news about the status of The Willows. Of course, it goes without saying that Julio Rivas gave us a feast. We're always delighted to hear from him.

"Christmas Around the World" was a fun event. Everyone shared their goodies and stories.

The New Year's Day party was a success with Randy Woltz playing the piano for everyone. I understand the pizza was great, too. It seems the availability of bathrooms was a little challenging. We hope to address that situation more fully this year.

Moving into the new year, we are looking forward to new residents joining us and much activity as always. We have a few special ideas planned for this year. You can be sure we will keep you updated on those.

The movie date is February 21. The feature will be Sleepless in Seattle. That is a fun and entertaining movie. We hope you'll join us for the movie and free popcorn in Hodges Hall. Bill and Dona Romaine will host that fun time which will be 2 pm.

In February the world embraces Valentine's Day, and love is in bloom, everywhere. Aren't we grateful to know that our love is focused on divine Love which is in season every day of the year. We have so much to be grateful for each moment.

Lovingly,
Sandy
